SCOUTS WILD ADVENTURE

Lions and Tigers and Bears…Oh my! Sign up your Cub Scouts for a wild adventure this summer at Twilight Camp. The Houston Zoo will bring out it mobile animal unit to show our Scouts some native wild life. We’ll have a brand new activity in the shooting range for our Webelos. So, sign up by contacting Lorraine Eberly at eberly2@earthlink.net. Twilight Camp will begin Monday, June 16 at 5pm. Let the adventure begin!

DISTRICT PLANNING BREAKFAST

It is time to plan the district’s yearly calendar and your input is needed. Cubmasters and Committee Chairs are encouraged to attend on Saturday, June 7 at 8am. The location is TBA. BOVAY SUMMER CAMP

PARENT AND LEADER TRAINING

Training is vital to providing a safe and fun program for all of the Scouts. If you have not received any leader specific training, then now is the time to get with the district’s training coordinators. If you have recently changed positions, then you most likely will need to take leader specific training for the new position. Training is fun, exciting, and interactive. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to grow as a leader and learn from all of our experienced volunteers.

All leaders are welcomed to attend WOOD BADGE TRAINING.  It is a wonderful experience consisting of 2 full weekends at Camp Strake.  This is an event that focuses on you – the leader.  There is a session coming soon and they fill up fast – don’t miss out on this awesome experience!
