Akela's Trail 2009

"Akela's Trail of Friendship"
Saturday, November 7, 2009
Formerly called Cub Scout Leader Pow Wow, Akela's Trail is designed not only for leaders of Cub Scouts, but also for Cub Scouting parents. It's a one-day training event where we'll all be providing ideas and a variety of how-tos in a fun environment. Akela's Trail will quickly get you learning and sharing with other Cub Scouting experts!
Akela's Trail has something for everyone; from new leaders and parents to those that are experienced. Akela's Trail is a time to share and renew knowledge of current policies and procedures, as well as lots of Cub Scouting fun and games.
Mark your calendars now, for Saturday, November 7, 2009. The location will be announced in early fall. Watch for online registration at that time as well.
There will be many topic areas to choose from – pack and den administration, nuts and bolts of program and event and planning, fun games and activities, and a whole lot of “what’s this all about?”. All of this makes Cub Scouting more fun and productive for all of us - adults and boys alike!
Event Co-Chairs Lori Powell of Texas Skies District and Joan Englander of Golden Arrow District, and their staff will take you back to the fundamentals of Cub Scouting as you follow your Akela's Trail of Friendship.
