The Cockrell Scout Center and all Scout Shop locations are currently scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 6th. This is subject to change as the situation evolves.  The field-based staff (district executives) will be working remotely.

Day/Twilight Camp
June

Day camp is for Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade next school year. The awesome program includes BB guns, archery, sports, games, crafts, rank advancements, Scout skills, and more.

Resident Camp
July

Resident camp is a three-night campout at Bovay Scout Ranch for Cub Scouts entering the first through fifth grade next year. From Cub Scout skills to rank advancements, these camps are full of fun and learning.

Super Troop

Super troop is a temporary troop made up of Scouts from troops around the council. Super Troop is a fantastic opportunity for Scouts to attend an extra week of summer camp, for a Scout to attend camp individually if they can't participate camp with their unit, or for those Scouts who like to camp.

National Scout Jamboree
July 21-30, 2021

Once every four years, Scouts from across the country come together for a gathering of approximately 40,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff that showcases everything that is great about the BSA and its members.Activities range from shooting sports, mountain biking, zip-lining, rock climbing, white water rafting and more!

Scouting Supports Education

Scouting activities contribute to the academic development of the children who participate. 

The Cub Scout program supports over 120 elementary standards (TEKS) that students are to learn. More than 85% of merit badges include requirements that meet National Science Education Standards, giving Scouts a foundation in everything from nuclear science to robotics.
